On April 6th, 2011 president of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, Sławomir Majman will take part in the Country Presentation Polonia - Opportunità di investimento per le imprese italiane in Rome.
During the seminar organised by the Italian federation Confindustria Sicilia PAIiIZ president will present investment opportunities in Poland, public aid, legal regulations concerning foreign investment and structural funds.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Treaty on Good Neighbourhood and Friendly Cooperation, a conference "Balance and Perspectives 20 years of good neighbourhood" was held March 14 in Halle, Germany.
The event was under patronage of Ms Cornelia Pieper, Federal Government Representative for German-Polish Cooperation. During the conference, spoke Ms. Cornelia Pieper, Mr. Marek True, the Polish Ambassador in Berlin, Ms. Grazyna Henclewska, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy and Chairman of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Mr. Slawomir Majman.
Bridgeston Diversified Products Poland in Żarów was granted the permission on January 18th, 2011.
The investing company will construct a factory and produce Ethylene Vinyl Acetate plastic foil.
The company will invest PLN130 mln and create investment outlays 67 jobs. The project is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2013.
In the facility the company will expand its operations and will focus on the production of the Ethylene Vinyl Acetate plastic films. The EVA plastic film is used mainly in the production process of photovoltaic (PV) panels which are used in the production of solar panels which have been widely used in the last few years. Some 10% of the output is planed to be distributed among producers of laminated glass.
Prestigious investment fortunately stays in Poland. Awarding grants to support investments of considerable importance for the Polish economy ended.
The investment project of the Japanese company from the NSG group - Pilkington Automotive Poland led by PAIiIZ ended with a positive investment decision. The project received from the Operational Programme Innovative Economy (Action 4.5.1) grant in the amount of 92 848 200 million PLN and therefore decided to conduct its investment project in Chmielów - the Nowa Dęba municipality (Podkarpackie Voivodship).
Baltic Business Forum 2011 - Representatives of PAIiIZ, the BBF Association, representatives of Embassies and chambers of commerce in Poland met to discuss objectives of this year’s Forum.
The meeting took place in the seat of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency on March 7th, 2011 and gathered together economic councillors from Embassies and delegates of chambers of commerce from the Baltic countries and countries covered by the EU Eastern Partnership programme with PAIiIZ and BBF representatives.
The Chinese delegation from the Jiangsu province, headed by the Director of the Economic Department, Mr Zhu Min visits Poland from February 27th to March 4th.
The delegation comprises of representatives of the biggest companies active in the energy sector: Suntech Power Co. Ltd., Wiscom System Co. Ltd., Etern Company Ltd., Zongyi Co. Ltd., Suning Appliance Co. Ltd.
The companies seek opportunities to construct production facilities and establish new business contacts in Poland.
Biosyntec acquired a majority package of the Lublin Tobacco Factory (Lubelske Zakłady Tytoniowe) for PLN32 mln.
In the next 4 years the company will invest PLN100 million and will start production of modern filters which reduce the amount of harmful substance inhaled by smokers. The company expects the project will generate up to 1000 job.
