400 mln euro will spend investors from Luxemburg for a realization of the project of gigantic amusement park in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
Soon, for a young Poles the Parisian Disneyland will not be longer a dream trip. Roller coasters, water slides and fairytale castles will be situated also 40 km from Warsaw.
In the spring next year the construction work of the biggest amusement park in Middle Europe will start. Adventure World Warsaw with 240 ha areas will contain theme park, two hotels, water park and the leisure part with cinemas, restorations and clubs. The open date is set on the spring 2014.
-We count on the 2 millions of visitors yearly-says Peter Jan Mulder, president of the Las Palm company, which is construction work’s coordinator and future operator of the park.
Adventure World Warsaw will be open whole year. It is planned that it will have a five thematic areas and 25 special attractions as artificial waves, boat ride or interactive fountains. Moreover there will be build the biggest in Poland aqua park.
To accomplish this project there are involved companies specialized in similar projects, among the others Jora Vision (construction projects for leisure industry), Vekoma Rides Manufacturing (rollercoaster’s producer) and Hafema (water attractions).
In Poland already there were a few similar projects. It always end with the announcements.
Costs of this project are enormously huge – about 400 mln of euro. The construction works will finance international consortium private investors with the headquarter in Luxemburg. However, who is sitting in the board is still secret. As well as the financial sources. There is also unknown, what part will contain the internal founds and what credits and what institution will grant them.
On yesterday press conference president of Las Palm said only:- In our consortium are people whose have money.
This lack of information bring concerns, because there were several similar projects in Poland in recent years. All of them ends only with the announcements. The biggest confusion made Michael Jackson: in 1997 he signed with the Warsaw authorities the letter of intent for family amusement park building in Polish capital. The project of gigantic park in the neighborhood of Biała Podlaska made a Turkish investor Vahap Toy, who wanted to build here a second Las Vegas for a milliards of dollars. Germans planed amusement park in Zielona Góra.
Neither those failures of previous project or lack of financial transparency are able to disturb optimism in Grodzisk Mazowiecki authorities. According to the mayor Grzegorz Benedykciński the investor is reliable. –There is no concerns that this land will be used in different goal that amusement park (Las Palm bought them probably form the private owners). This is guaranteed by zoning plan- he assure.
Meanwhile Las Palm is planning second phase of the project- development of the theme park, building of the entertainment center, conference center and luxury spa. It will cost another 350 mln euro. Source: Rzeczpospolita
